"GC Construction completed a large domestic project for me in 2014. The value of the contract was c. 160k and involved the complete refurbishment of a terraced house in Dublin 6 including a new extension, new roof, complete remodelling of most of the existing internal layout.
GC Construction undertook this project in a very professional way by firstly, consulting with the neighbours on either side (a relationship that was maintained throughout the duration of the work) and secondly providing a proper Health and Safety Plan for the project together with the appropriate Insurances.
I was very satisfied with the standard of construction and workmanship and Colin Wendel is knowledgeable on all aspects of Building Regulations particularly those that relate to energy efficiency. Colin also co-ordinated the Electrical and Plumbing sub-contractors very well and ensured that both operations went smoothly. Colin’s instinct is to do the job right first time around and not settle for “it’ll do” as so many others would.
The contract was completed broadly on budget and slightly longer than the original programme although the latter was due to extremely unfavourable weather in the early part of the project.
